SOREZE
Sorèze welcomes DELVIS BELLOCQ QUARTET in concert at 2.30pm.
Cinémanouche honoured during the New Year’s fireworks at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
After appearing at the Barrière casino in Toulouse, the 13th Art hall in Paris and BLAN 81700, DELVIS BELLOCQ QUARTET, made up of two guitars, violin and double bass, is coming to Sorèze to perform at the Georges de Léotoing village hall.
Who is Delvis Bellocq and his Quartet? Delvis won the Django Reinhardt international guitar prize at the age of 16. He recently launched the cinémanouche project with a team that includes Julien SACCÜ, double bass player (after 5 years at the conservatoire he obtained his DEM in jazz), Lucy SOUTHERN, American jazz violinist trained in the United States with the violinists of the TURTLE ISLAND STRING QUARTET (winners of the GRAMMY AWARDS), She has performed with several groups on prestigious stages such as the Django Reinhardt Festival, Café Jazz Montparnasse and the Prague Festival, and is a semi-finalist in the SEIFRT International Jazz Violin Competition in Poland in 2022. Thomas NOYER, a guitarist, composer and performer trained in the art of improvisation, has mastered a wide variety of musical styles, including jazz and gypsy swing.
Pancakes, waffles and a refreshment bar will be available during the interval.
For the second concert at 4.30pm, the group GARANOU, created by Serge MATEOS, will be paying tribute to the singer-poet Claude NOUGARO. The group has been together for over 20 years. Fully immersed in the repertoire and even the biography of his idol, Serge puts all his heart and conviction into conveying on stage the emotional charge contained in each of his songs, such as ‘Cécile’ or ‘Armstrong’. They all correspond to stages in the singer’s life, stages that Serge describes perfectly between each performance. From jazz to jazz, rock to tango, Serge Matéos will take his audience on a dreamy journey through Claude Nougaro’s travels and encounters, thanks in no small part to an excellent jazzy musical accompaniment.
The group’s musicians are Éric MARTY on guitar, Patrick SIMON on bass, Christophe CLERIN on drums and Bernard SOULIE on piano.
So GARANOU are getting ready to share the magic of Claude NOUGARO with audiences in Sorèze, celebrating his prestigious musical heritage. A show not to be missed under any circumstances.
In an intimate 500-seat venue, free seating excluding PRM and guests.
