Lecture “La Jeanne -Élisabeth: from excavation to exhibition”
> by Marine Jaouen, research engineer, archaeologist and head of the Occitanie coastline at the Drassm
and Olivier Chambon, head of the Régie des collections unit at the Musée de l’Éphèbe.

The wreck of this Swedish merchant ship, which sank in 1755, was looted in 2006 and excavated between 2009 and 2019, is the best documented in the Gulf of Lion in the 18th century.

Marine Jaouen, who was co-director of the excavations, will talk about its history, while Olivier Chambon will address the issue of presenting its collections in the museum.
