The Backyard d’Agde, an ultra-endurance race: the ultimate challenge is coming!
The start will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, on the forecourt of the Moulin des Évêques, an emblematic site steeped in history.
This race is the second stage of the Bakyard Series, a touring concept that showcases exceptional territories through a sporting endurance challenge.
A strategic format
The Backyard Ultra is a progressive event whose principle is as simple as it is demanding: each participant must complete a 9.706-kilometer loop in less than an hour. A new start is given every hour, and the race continues until there is only one runner left, declared the “survivor”.
The required speed is 6.7 km/h, making the challenge accessible to runners of all levels, from the curious beginner to the seasoned trailer.
A rich course
The Backyard d’Agde course offers a rare blend of natural beauty and historical heritage.
Runners will skirt the banks of the Hérault and pass through historic urban areas, while returning to their base camp at the foot of the Moulin des Évêques.
The Backyard Series
After a successful first stage in Toulouse in January 2025, the Backyard d’Agde is the second edition of the Backyard Series.
The aim of this series is to introduce the Backyard format in exceptional locations, offering an authentic experience on a human scale, designed for runners and their companions.
