Sganarelle, a clumsy, debonair woodcutter, finds himself thrust into the role of a doctor through no fault of his own! Faced with a young girl dumb with love, he makes a series of far-fetched diagnoses, magic potions and absurd incantations. A sparkling comedy that plays with imposture and credulity, to the delight of young and old alike.
