SOREZE
The Théâtre des D’rôles presents : Il est minuit, Docteur Ivanov!
On 6 December at 9pm, Sorèze Abbey will play host to a new comedy by the Théâtre des D’rôles: Il est minuit, Docteur Ivanov!
Directed by Éric Grandchamps and written by Jérôme Vuittenez, this play promises an evening full of humour, twists and turns and a quirky atmosphere.
Synopsis: A Bulgarian doctor who has come to practice in France is on duty on Christmas Eve in a hospital hit hard by budget cuts. Someone turns up needing urgent surgery for appendicitis, and at the same time a government inspector comes to check that the hospital is running properly. The alcoholic director does her best to control the situation by inventing an absurd story.
The Bulgarian doctor deals with the day’s emergencies using his own methods, but his main concern is to leave his wife without offending her, by giving her one last present: a talking watch.
The nurse has her eye on the doctor’s bank account and steals the watch intended for his wife.
Your zygomatic muscles won’t get a moment’s rest!
The performance will take place in the exceptional setting of Sorèze Abbey.
