SAINT-FELIX-LAURAGAIS
Adapted from the novel by Corinne Royer, this play tells the (true) story of a cattle farmer harassed by the authorities. The day his herd is rounded up and his cows destroyed, he leaves and hides in the surrounding countryside. Wanted by the gendarmes, he is found shot dead nine days later. While the subject is eminently political, the text remains highly poetic and celebrates the beauty of the farming profession and the living world.
