With Bruno Putzulu and musical accompaniment by Grégory Daltin, Aurélien Noël or Sergio TomassiWriter, journalist and founder of the satirical magazines Hara-Kiri and Charlie Hebdo, François Cavanna adored his father, Luigi, an illiterate bricklayer of Italian origin. He wrote a book about him, Les Ritals, published in 1978. Bruno Putzulu loves this book. The son of an Italian immigrant, he turned it into a play, Les Ritals, which premiered in 2016. Funny, warm and moving, “Les Ritals” also recounts the cruelty and humiliations of yesterday’s immigrants, confronted with daily racism. “That’s why this show is still necessary today. You’re always someone’s ‘rital’ or ‘macaroni’ at some point,” explains Bruno Putzulu. Ages 12 and up
