BALMA
This year’s show boasts the largest catwalk space in Occitanie: a 44-metre U-shaped catwalk, raised 80 cm. The creations on show come from Korea, Poland, Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal, Indonesia, Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela and France, reflecting the cultural diversity and multiple heritages of fashion.
TFW 2025 highlights fashion as a social language and collective memory. Clothing heritage is seen as a living heritage, in constant transformation, with know-how, symbols and stories handed down from generation to generation. The designers explore the meeting of local traditions and global imaginations, questioning notions of sustainability, identity and creativity.
The event opens with a multi-disciplinary line-up featuring music and dance: Laëly, a revelation on The Voice; Laurent Pisula, virtuoso guitarist (Vitaa, Renan Luce, David Hallyday); Louhane Pilod, a well-known dancer from Toulouse; Clara Grataloup, French hip-hop champion; and an exceptional godmother: Tonye AKA, master dressmaker and founder of Tonye’s Fashion Académie.
