A L’OMBRE DU CANAL DU MIDI

TOULOUSE

Description

Comprising 17 magnificent photographs by Daniel Banon, this exhibition, created in partnership with Voies Navigables de France’s Patronage Department by artists from the region, revisits the seasons and colours of this emblematic waterway through the lens of the Toulouse photographer.
A tribute to this heritage site, a declaration of this exceptional territory and a poetic illustration of its diversity
diversity, Daniel Banon’s photos are also a reminder of the fragility of its beauty and a way of raising
your awareness.

The photographer: A native of south-eastern France, Daniel Banon has spent his time wandering around Provençal villages since he was very young. He quickly developed a passion for photography, first using his smartphone and then, following a trip to the United States, he decided to take the plunge and buy a hybrid, which he has been using ever since. Having settled in Toulouse in 2008, he loves wandering its pretty streets in search of the detail he can immortalise. It’s not unusual to come across him in the pink city with his camera in his hands. It was in Toulouse that he fell under the spell of the Canal du Midi, which he loves to photograph in all its different colours as the seasons change.

Don’t miss a special highlight on 20 September from 10am to 6pm!
