The Pop-up workshop offers children a fun immersion into the world of Saint-Michel Prison through architecture and creativity. Following a tour tailored to young visitors, participants learn about the panopticon – a symbol of surveillance in the 19th century – and reflect on the link between space, power and society. Then it’s time to get creative: using paper, scissors and glue, each child makes a pop-up map of the Castelet, drawing inspiration from the building’s architecture. An original activity combining heritage, science and creativity, to be enjoyed as a family or in a group.
