Saturday 24 October: ‘Water, the Canal and the Region in Dialogue’
In 2026, the Canal du Midi will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Cité de Sorèze is marking this anniversary with two events.
6.30 pm: Guided tour ‘The Collections Along the Water’ [Duration: 1 hour]
As you follow the water’s course, our guide will invite you to discover our historical and artistic collections.
At the Cité de Sorèze, water flows through the entire site. Symbolically, through the artworks of the Dom Robert Museum and the decorum and history of the Abbey School; and in reality, through its geographical location and its ancient hydraulic structures. This unique tour will allow you to wander through twelve centuries of history.
From 8.30 pm to 10 pm: Screening of short films in partnership with Les Vidéophages
