Description

Le Dancing de Sète invites you on Saturday, October 31, 2026, to the 4th edition of the Baile de los Muertos—a festive and inclusive evening organized in partnership with the queer and feminist collective Nuit Brune. To celebrate el Día de los Muertos—the Mexican Day of the Dead—in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where joy, music, and dance take center stage for young and old alike.

El Día de los Muertos: A Mexican Tradition in Sète

El Día de los Muertos is a Mexican tradition that celebrates death in a different way—not as an end, but as a moment of joyful communion between the living and the deceased. Piñatas, dance performances, concerts, and DJ sets will take turns offering a total immersion in the heart of this festive family tradition. Costumes are welcome—come dressed as a catrina, a skeleton, or in traditional Mexican attire!

Nuit Brune—a festive and safer space

The queer and feminist collective Nuit Brune, founded in 2022 in Montpellier by Amélie Gotis and Tatiana Prieto, is curating the evening’s musical lineup. Kindness and letting go are the watchwords—a festive and safer space where everyone is free to dress, wear makeup, and dance however they like, with a selection of Techno Twerk, Bass, and Reggaeton.
