TOULOUSE
Inaugurated in 1935, the Toulouse Study and Heritage Library is an Art Deco masterpiece designed as a “book palace”. Listed as a historic monument, it houses heritage treasures and remains a major centre for culture, memory and transmission.
To mark the occasion, an exceptional cultural and festive programme will run from September to December, highlighting the architectural, documentary and human heritage of this emblematic building.

Concept: 30 works from the library’s reserves have been selected by the public (manuscripts, artists’ books, old atlases, etc.). Come and discover their favourites!

– Library reserves: take a look behind the scenes (45 min)
– Art Deco building: architectural focus on the building constructed in 1935 (50 min)
– Sors de ta réserve” exhibition: explore the public’s favourites (45 min)
– Missed visit (Sunday only): funny stories of explorers, inventors and architects (50 mins)
AN ESCAPE GAME “The threat of contaminated books
A fun, immersive investigation for children aged 10 and over (1hr30mins)
The aim is to save the library during the European Heritage Days!
