The guided tour will tantalise your taste buds, bring to life the Quasimodo festivals (after Easter) and the Saint-André livestock fairs (30 November), and rekindle memories of the trades of yesteryear. Dairymen, cheesemakers, bargemen, fishermen, horse dealers, bakers, grocers, wine merchants, farmers and so many others… It is they who, for centuries, have been working in the name of good food and the art of living… without any pretence or frills. As you will have gathered, your guide will not necessarily focus on the cornerstones of South-Western French gastronomy, but rather on the raw ingredients that enhance our dishes and form the basis of our country’s gastronomic reputation. The guided tour ‘Eating Well in St-Cyp’ showcases the produce of the Earth, Water, Animals and People. Passionate men and women whom you’ll meet along the way.
