DURFORT
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August, the Black Montagne Street Art Festival will bring together a selection of artists from our region, each with their own distinctive style and energy, transforming the village of Durfort into an open-air gallery. Their works, which can be seen on the poster, showcase the richness of the local scene: vibrant portraits, powerful animals, dynamic lettering, fantastical worlds, abstract or committed creations.
Diversity is the strength of the festival
– Expressive portrait artists who capture the human gaze, emotions and stories with a rare intensity.
– Animal artists whose felines, tigers and panthers explode with colour and life.
– Graffiti artists and Lettrists who bring the urban energy, powerful forms and codes of pure street art to the show.
– Creators of imaginary worlds combining fantasy, humour, poetry and symbols.
– Contemporary muralists who play with textures, volumes and colours to offer a new interpretation of the village.
– Hybrid artists who mix painting, illustration, abstraction and modern techniques.
All these artists carry with them the identity of Occitania. Their works tell of their sensitivity, their connection to the region and their desire to showcase the Montagne Noire through art.
On 8 and 9 August, the public will be able to meet these artists, watch them create, chat with them and wander through a village transformed by their works. Durfort becomes a lively, colourful and inspiring place, where local art takes centre stage.
