For the 24th edition of CAPECHECS, enthusiasts will once again enjoy the four classic opens of different levels that make the Cap d’Agde tournaments so popular. More than 900 players of all levels took part in these opens during the previous edition.

The Fil Rouge tournament is reserved for amateur players, particularly those without a licence. It allows them to take part in the chess festival and play under the same conditions as in approved tournaments. This tournament will allow you to practise and, why not, improve thanks to the advice of experienced players and organisers who will be on hand to offer advice at the end of the game and analyse the games.

The Open de l’Avenir, the Cavalier tournament and the Grand Prix are FIDE-approved tournaments of different levels, reserved for players licensed by a FIDE-affiliated federation (licences can be obtained on site at the CAPECHECS club). The participation of many internationally titled players allows each edition to obtain norms to access the titles of International Master and International Grandmaster in particular.
Cadence

The four tournaments are played in nine rounds at a Fischer cadence of 1 hour 30 minutes + 30 seconds per move per player.
