Cerebrum Kids explores how children aged 8 and over construct their own visions of the future.
It is a show that explores their relationship with images and seeks to better understand the impact on them of the proliferation of screens, fake news and other doomsday narratives. This interactive show invites children to explore what goes on in their minds through perceptual illusions that punctuate a narrative of ‘mimesis’.
How does the brain bring an image, a puppet, a machine or an algorithm to life? Why can we say that our brain is us and, at the same time, an autonomous organ with its own biases? Where does this ability come from – to project ourselves onto every object that even slightly mimics some of our abilities (language, learning, movement…)?
