Wednesday 21 October: 18th-century ghost hunts
An immersive investigation at the Cité de Sorèze
As dusk falls, the walls of the former abbey-school seem to come back to life… Silhouettes appear, voices whisper in the corridors and strange presences seem to haunt the premises. In collaboration with the Culture en Mouvements theatre company, the Cité de Sorèze invites you to take part in a grand 18th-century ghost hunt, a fun and immersive adventure at the heart of its heritage.
Armed with clues, participants will set off in the footsteps of mysterious figures from the Age of Enlightenment. Who are they? What are they trying to convey? Amidst puzzles, unexpected encounters and the exploration of historic spaces, everyone will need to use their powers of observation and curiosity to uncover the secrets of the place.
Two sessions are on offer so that everyone can enjoy the experience at their own pace:

A version specially designed for young people and families. In broad daylight, budding ghost hunters will investigate in a fun and accessible atmosphere, where mystery takes precedence over thrills.
At 9.00 pm – Night-time ghost hunt [Single price: €9]
When night falls over the town of Sorèze, the atmosphere changes… This session, aimed at teenagers and adults, offers a more intense immersion in the history and legends of the 18th century. Amidst shadows, surprises and enigmatic characters, visitors will discover the heritage in a completely new light – or rather, under a new night-time glow.
