La Tamarissière
The town of Agde invites you to attend the Commemoration of the Landing in Provence, a historic and patriotic event in the heart of Cap d’Agde and La Tamarissière.
This special day pays tribute to the Allied soldiers who took part in the Provence Landings on 15 August 1944, offering the public historical re-enactments, military parades, exhibitions of period vehicles and a commemorative ceremony.

Mail de Rochelongue – Le Cap d’Agde
> 9.30am: Exhibition of US military vehicles
> 10:30 a.m.: Departure of the US parade to La Grande Conque
(route: Avenue des Outremers > Avenue des Alizés > Avenue de Belle-Isle > Cours des Gentilhommes > Vieux-Port)
La Grande Conque – Le Cap d’Agde
> 11:00 a.m.: Official commemorative ceremony attended by local authorities and patriotic associations
>All day: Military camp, entertainment and historical re-enactment
Bunkers site – La Tamarissière
> 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Guided tours of the bunkers, exhibitions and historical camps
> 3:30 p.m.: Parade of US vehicles from Grande Conque to the bunkers
