BOUZIGUES
With more than forty years on stage and over 2000 concerts in France and abroad, Maxime Merlandi and Jean-Philippe Guissani embody the essence of Corsican song today. Their duo, Fiuminale, is the continuation of a rich career, marked in particular by the adventure of the Barbara Furtuna quartet, a major group that has contributed to the international renown of Corsican polyphonyArpeggiata, Placido Domingo, Roberto Alagna, Constantinople, Bélem and Zadeja, and have performed in over thirty countries, on prestigious stages such as New York?s Carnegie Hall, Berlin?s Konzerthaus and Paris?s Salle Pleyel. Each recital becomes a moment of sharing, driven by a sensitive dialogue with the audience. The harmonies, the vibrancy of the voices and the sobriety of the musical gesture offer a profound experience: an inner journey as much as a collective bond, authentic and vibrant.
