MONTGAILLARD-LAURAGAIS
During the All Saints’ Day holidays, the children at the “Terres du Lauragais” inter-communal day nursery became the poets and musicians of their region. Thanks to an artistic mediation project supported by the PETR du Pays Lauragais, they explored how encounters with others transform us through writing and music.
From Monday 20 October to Friday 24 October, Compagnie Tintalada (from Conilhac-Corbières in the Aude department) ran writing and musical expression workshops every morning in Villefranche-de-Lauragais. Singer-songwriter Laure Cecilio, accompanied by musician Robin Goldstyn from the John de Revel school, invited the children to answer questions that appealed to their sensibilities: What are the encounters that have marked them? What unites them?
On Saturday 8 November at 7pm, the Salle Polyvalente in Montgaillard-Lauragais will host the final show, which is free and open to all. The Compagnie Tintalada will be presenting the children’s creations as well as the testimonies gathered from the residents of Montgaillard-Lauragais during an immersion period from 1 to 8 November. The evening will close with a discussion with the artists. Come one, come all to share this moment of living poetry, a reflection of the voices and links that weave our territory!
