REVEL
The Revel Saint-Ferréol Historical Society is organising an event to present two books that shed light on the history of Revel and the surrounding area.
‘Revel, ancien nœud ferroviaire’ (Revel, a former railway hub), by Jacques Dumeunier, published as part of the Lauragais Patrimoine series, looks back over a century of railways in Revel. The author will trace this history through historical documents and photographs, set against contemporary views.
The event will also provide an opportunity to discover Volume 5 of *The History of the Bastide of Revel in Languedoc* by Jean-Paul Calvet. During this presentation, the author will give an overview of the contents of this book, which is devoted to a particularly turbulent century in Revel’s history.
