Come and discover a Musée des Augustins that has been transformed after more than six years of major works. Access and circulation have been improved, the collections have been redesigned, and a new scenography has been created. The museum and its uses have been rethought in their entirety, revealing both the history of this emblematic place in Toulouse and the incredible collection on display, with a view to accessibility, openness and discovery.
The museum is gradually opening up its spaces. (The church and Gothic rooms remain closed). From 19 December, take advantage of a unique, flowing tour to explore the painting rooms, the Romanesque room and discover the brand-new boutique-library-café (for your gift ideas, there’s a wide range on offer (cards, posters, a collection embossed with the museum logo, cosmetics, bookshop, etc.).
Something new! To arouse your curiosity and encourage you to put a visit in your diary, the museum teams have organised a programme in the small painting room around a general theme that will be renewed each year. The theme of the sky was chosen for the reopening. It lends itself to infinite variations, combining different media and forms of artistic expression.
