Dominique has lost everything: her job, her home, her place in society. Little by little, she becomes invisible to the world. One day, aimlessly, she boards a bus and heads off into the forest. There, in contact with nature, something is reborn.
In this poetic and luminous tale, two actors sing and tell the story of this young woman in search of meaning. Dominique toute seule speaks of precariousness and isolation, but above all of resilience.
A mix of theater, storytelling and polyphonic song, this tender, minimalist show is for everyone. Noted at the Festival d’Avignon Off 2023, Marie Burki?s moving fable tackles social fractures with gentleness and whimsy. A nugget full of humanity, where the imaginary illuminates the real.
