On the Way of St James, in the Coteaux du Girou
This October, get ready for some stops along the Way of St James in the Coteaux du Girou! As you may know, the GR46, a route on the Way of St James, crosses the Coteaux du Girou region from Roquesérière to Lavalette!
Since 2023, work carried out on the A69 motorway has impacted our walking trails, particularly the GR46 route! This autumn, the trail will be officially reopened.
To mark this occasion, we’re organising a series of events to celebrate it. Whether it’s community initiatives, a film or a talk… Take a look now at the programme we’ve put together for you.
Talk and workshop on trail marking??
“A morning in two parts. A one-hour talk to understand hiking trails, their origins and signposting. This will be followed by a community initiative where small groups, led by guides, will help signpost the GR46 trail, the Way of St James.
Organised by the Departmental Hiking Committee and the Communauté de Communes des Coteaux du Girou.
This initiative forms part of the wider ‘1,000 Hands for the Ways of St James’ event. This wonderful initiative, launched in 2015 in the Lot, is a national event taking place every first weekend in October. It brings citizens together for a variety of activities aimed at looking after the Way of St James.
