TOULOUSE
For this new production, following *La Brande* which was staged last season, they have drawn inspiration from Pedro Costa’s documentary *Where Does Your Buried Smile Lie?*, which they discovered almost by chance. In the film, the two directors are captured on the spot, both at work and in their private lives. Their relationship exudes an artistic, intimate and political uncompromising spirit that fascinates Alice Vannier and Sacha Ribeiro. Whilst reflecting on their own creative approach, the two artists, through their performance, bring the figures of the filmmakers to life. In a constantly shifting space, they sensitively explore questions of consensus, the accessibility of art, and the relationship between the artwork and its audience.
