MEZE
It’s called a “pond”, but it’s actually a lagoon – the Thau lagoon. During a residency as part of the “Le temps de l’étang” biennial event, Aurélie Calmet watched and listened to this special environment, and to the people who live there, to gather the raw material for her work. The idea is to share the multiplicity of this particular territory through the senses. From the first sketches captured on the spot, raw, words caught on the fly, to the creation that will emerge from this. Because the line is not the same if it’s cold, if it’s windy, if you’re talking while drawing or swimming at the same time. Exhibition open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm, opening Saturday November 15, 11am.
