Water Horizons: Contemporary Art Comes to %E0 Colombiers
This %E9t%E9, the La Domitienne Tourist Office is hosting an exceptional exhibition in partnership with Les Abattoirs, the Frac Occitanie Toulouse Museum.
It invites the public to take a fresh look at the landscapes around us through the works of several internationally renowned contemporary artists.
Held at the Cave du Château de Colombiers, home to the La Domitienne Tourist Office, the exhibition will be open from July 6 to September 21, 2026.
Through the works of Juliette Agnel, Becquemin & Sagot, Marc Desgrandchamps, Jason Glasser, Rémy Groussin, and Gérard Traquandi, the exhibition explores the many ways of representing, interpreting, and experiencing the landscape. Photographs, paintings, and contemporary artworks engage in a dialogue with the local heritage to offer visitors a sensitive and immersive artistic experience.
The opening reception will take place on Monday, July 20, at 11 a.m., attended by partners and elected officials, as well as representatives from the Musée des Abattoirs.
This exhibition is part of an initiative to promote the region’s cultural heritage and illustrates La Domitienne’s commitment to fostering a dialogue between heritage, contemporary art, and the landscape. It’s a wonderful opportunity for both residents and visitors to discover art from a new perspective, in a setting steeped in history, in the heart of Colombiers.
