BEZIERS
As part of the 2025 “national cause” dedicated to mental health, the Les Écluses de l’Art association, in partnership with the Centre Hospitalier de Béziers (adult psychiatry department) and the ARCADIA association, as well as several committed artists, is continuing the hors-les-murs project. For several years, therapeutic art workshops have been held with patients in day hospitals in Béziers, Agde, Pézenas and Bédarieux. Led by visual artist Dominique Renson, these workshops aim to give participants back the power to act, express themselves and rebuild their lives through artistic creation. Following a hospital exhibition and various cultural outings in the region, the exhibition presented at the Palais Épiscopal showcases the work of the participants and helps to combat the prejudices surrounding mental illness.
