LOUPIAN
From the 2nd to the 23rd, an exhibition on food entitled “mémoire de bouche, bien se nourrir dans l’Hérault, un défi hier comme aujourd’hui” will be on display at the Stéphane HESSEL multimedia library.A land of arboriculture and market gardening, the Hérault is home to a multitude of often renowned agricultural products that have shaped the economy, landscapes and terroirs: honey and table grapes from the Hérault valley, strawberries from Mauguio, cherries from Caroux, chestnuts from Olargues, turnips from Pardailhan, sweet onions from Lézignan-la-Cèbe, chickpeas from Carlencas, pélardons from Hérault, olive oil from Lodévois and Clermontais. The exhibition is structured around a slide show designed to showcase a vast selection of archival documents from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, sources available for research, and a selection of audiovisual reports on local recipes.Production: Archives départementales de l’Hérault, 2020
