The works reflect both pedagogy and education on the one hand, and the incredible anti-German propaganda on the other.20 panels show the personal and raw vision of children during the Great War (1914-1918).Prompted by their teachers at 2 Montmartre schools, who asked them to draw pictures of the war, these schoolchildren, aged 6 to 13, use their drawings to reveal their patriotic spirit, their dreams of heroism, but above all their anguish over the war and the absence of loved ones. The exhibition is open to the general public and is on loan from the ONACVG (Office National des Anciens Combattants et Victimes de Guerre), thanks to funds from the Musée Montmartre. The “Artefacts” exhibition will feature objects from the battlefields of the Great WarFriday November 7 at 6pm: LectureThe lecture “La vie des poilus et des civils pendant la première guerre mondiale” will be presented by Jean Claude AURIOL, who will show that the History of France is built not only by recalling the “glorious phrases” but also by evoking the dark hours. He will remind us that while it is important to erase hatred, it is also necessary to preserve memory.
