The Occitanie Regional Center for Contemporary Art in Sète invites you to immerse yourself in “Maison-Main, an Assembly of Gestures #2”— a group exhibition curated by Christian Rizzo and Anne-Laure Lestage, from October 10, 2026, to February 21, 2027. The second installment of a traveling project launched in partnership with the CND (National Center for Dance), this exhibition brings together 26 artists with diverse approaches for a fictional and sensory journey into the heart of our gestures.
A journey through matter, body, and thought
The exhibition offers a unique experience in which the “house-hand” brings together permanent gestures and unexpected imaginary narratives— video, objects, sculptures, artisanal forms, and speculative tools. The elements retain the memory of the gestures that pass through them, without distinguishing between the craft and the artwork. Assembling, embroidering, cutting, stretching, engraving, binding, molding, pleating, weaving… A veritable collection of gestures revealing the richness of contemporary practices and their materiality.
