FESTIVAL DE TOULOUSE

TOULOUSE

Description

This 5th edition features classical music, pop and film scores, with original creations specially devised with the guest artists.

Highlights include a symphonic concert devoted to the music of John Williams performed by the Festival Orchestra (accompanied by images from the Toulouse-based studio TAT Productions specially created for the occasion), and a concert by Calogero, a major figure in French-language pop-rock.

The stage also welcomes jazz trumpeter Daoud, singer Axelle Red unveiling the first extracts from her new album, and Pomme with a brand new creation. On the classical side, pianist Suzana Bartal performs pages from Franz Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage.

Singer Noëmi Waysfeld is joined by jazz musicians Leila Soldevila and Guillaume de Chassy for a poetic concert. Finally, a tribute to the music of the film Barry Lyndon and a journey to the heart of tango, from Astor Piazzolla to Carlos Gardel, led by accordionist Pascal Contet, round off this rich and inspiring programme.

Between the Halle aux Grains, Saint-Pierre-des-Cuisines and the Casino Barrière, there’s plenty of excitement, sharing and discovery to look forward to! You can find the full programme on the festival website.

Enjoy the concerts!
