Description

With a blend of Agde’s traditions, entertainment and lively nights out, Agde is reconnecting with its history and bringing its local festival back to life.
For three days, the historic centre is transformed into a huge festival venue decked out in the colours of the South: jousting tournaments, a parade, bandas, processions, bodegas, DJ nights…

We look forward to seeing lots of you there to celebrate the grand return of this iconic event and to bring Agde’s festive spirit back to life together!

Friday 31 July:

1.30 pm: parade by the Agathoise Jousting School, starting from the Coeur de Ville and ending at Quai Commandant Réveille
2 pm – 7 pm: jousting; the Agathoise Jousting School’s Youth Criterium, with live music. On the Hérault, opposite the Cathedral
4.30 pm – 1 am: the bodégas open. La Promenade
5 pm – 7.30 pm: Les Canastels travelling peña
5.30 pm: parade of the SNJA jousters accompanied by Le Pierrou, starting from La Promenade and ending at Quai Commandant Réveille
6.00 pm: Official opening of the Agde Festival by the Mayor of Agde. La Promenade
7.00 pm: SNJA costumed jousting tournament followed by the Pierrou’s judgement. On the banks of the Hérault, opposite the Cathedral
10.00 pm – 1.00 am: Extravaganza Show by DJ Cassou. La Promenade

Saturday 1 August, The Promenade:

4.30 pm – 1 am: Bodégas open.
5 pm – 7.30 pm: children’s activities (sack races, etc.) organised by the Agde Handball Club
5 pm – 9 pm: travelling music with the peñas Los Déglingos and Les Canastels
9.30 pm: night-time parade through the streets of the town centre, starting from Agde railway station
9.30 pm – midnight: DJ set by Doris & François Sax, with a folk dance and variety show atmosphere

Sunday 2 August:

11 am and 2 pm: Parade of the SNJA jousters from the Maison du Cœur de Ville to the cathedral’s lake

3.00 pm: ‘Trophée du Languedoc’ jousting tournament, followed by the prize-giving ceremony
at the Maison du Cœur de Ville. On the Hérault, opposite the cathedral
