FÊTE DE LA SCIENCE — QUESTIONS POUR UN OIGNON !

BALARUC-LES-BAINS

Description

For its 35th edition, the Fête de la Science invites you to join us on Sundays, October 4 and 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jardin Antique Méditerranin Balaruc-les-Bains for a unique and fun event— “Questions for an Onion!” A true invitation to share a love of science with as many people as possible, this reimagined quiz takes you on a journey through a world blending the humanities, mythology, and botany, hosted by the Art Scène Lutin theater company in collaboration with the garden’s staff.

“Questions for an Onion!”—the science and garden quiz

Inspired by the famous game show *Questions for a Champion*, this reimagined quiz features questions on general knowledge, mythology, and botany in a fun and educational spirit. There are plenty of prizes to be won! It’s the perfect opportunity for the whole family to discover—or rediscover in a new way—the botanical treasures of the Ancient Mediterranean Garden.

The Ancient Mediterranean Garden—a one-of-a-kind attraction in France

Set on a 1.7-hectare site overlooking the Thau Lagoon, the Ancient Mediterranean Garden offers an introduction to the botanical archaeology of the Greek and Gallo-Roman worlds. Awarded the “Remarkable Garden” designation in 2012 and the “Heritage Collection of Biodiversity” designation in 2013, it features seven original garden designs dedicated to the uses of Mediterranean flora— agriculture, religion, medicine, magic, cooking, and cosmetics.
