TOULOUSE
It’s a time-honoured tradition: when the first violets start to bloom, Toulouse celebrates its favourite flower every year. Decorated, perfumed, eaten, offered as a token of tender, secret love… the violet reveals the full extent of its charms.
All weekend long, take advantage of the events, sales, tastings and activities for all ages. There’s also an exhibition of violets put on by Toulouse’s municipal greenhouses. There will also be potting workshops, so you can take your own plant home with you. Shopkeepers on site will be offering a wide range of violet-based products, from confectionery to cosmetics and handicrafts.
