Le Grau d’Agde
Traditional festival in honour of Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen.

Friday 3 July:
9pm: arrival of Saint Peter via the Hérault river with a guard of honour, entertainment, peña… Place de la Marine
9.30pm: departure of the procession to Saint Sever Church followed by mass accompanied by the Mélopoïa choir
10.30pm: parade through the town centre with torchlight procession.
11pm: fireworks followed by an evening of music with ‘Tony’. Place de la Marine

Saturday 4 July:
Inflatable structures, fairground rides and refreshment stands during the two days of festivities at La Criée.
12 noon: Sardine tasting and entertainment
2.30pm: ‘Discover seafood’ entertainment with Le Belvédère de la Criée (prizes to be won).
6pm: ‘Jonathan Danis’ jousting tournament on the Hérault river

9.30pm: 80s concert with the band ‘Funky Rabbit’

Sunday 5 July:
10.30am: procession. Departure: Place Notre Dame de l’Agenouillade, to La Criée
11 a.m.: departure for sea (priority given to those in the procession), blessing of the boats, throwing of the wreath in memory of lost sailors.

3pm: grand tournament of the traditional game Lo Capelet with the ‘Trophée de la Saint-Pierre’

9.30pm: disco funk concert with the band ‘Funky Lady’s’.
11pm: fireworks display.
