For more than 85 years, the tradition has been to celebrate the New Wine every year at the end of October.
At 10:00 a.m., an imposing procession led by a peña parade through the streets of the historic center of the Agatha Museum to the Cathedral of Saint Stephen.
The “Belles Agathoises” dressed in their traditional costume, carry the divine nectar to the altar where the archpriest blesses it and celebrates the mass of the New Wine.
At 11:00 am, during the ceremony, accompanied by the organ, the vocal ensemble Mélopoîa interprets the magnificent cantata “Lou Vi Nouvel” and other songs of the Agatha heritage written by artists of the Belle Epoque.
At the end of the ceremony, all the participants meet on the square of the Belle Agathoise where the festival ends with the famous dance of the vine and the offering of the grape.
