FRONTIGNAN
Commemorations, jousting tournaments, musical entertainment, and the traditional fireworks display, launched high into the sky so they can be seen by everyone around Frontignan-la-Peyrade.
Program:
– 9:30 a.m.: Commemoration, Place Jean-Jaurès.
– 11:00 a.m.: Ceremony and parade of the jousters, Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, Place Jean-Jaurès, Plan d’Encarneau, Rue du Canal, Quai Voltaire, Boulevard de la République, Boulevard Gambetta, Rue Député Lucien-Salette, Rue Saint-Paul, Rue Baumelle, and back to Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.
– 2:00 p.m.: Jousters’ parade, from Place de l’Hôtel de Ville to the Plan du Bassin.
– 2:30 p.m.: French Jousting Cup, Quais des Jouteurs and Quai du Caramus. Awards ceremony on site around 7:00 p.m.
– Starting at 9:00 p.m.: Local jousting tournament, Quais des Jouteurs and Quai du Caramus. Awards ceremony at Quai du Caramus, SJF clubhouse.
– 10:00 p.m.: Distribution of lanterns and torchlight procession accompanied by music, Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.
– 10:30 p.m.: Fireworks display, launched high into the sky, visible from the beach, the Aire des Loisirs, and the Plan du Bassin.
– 11:00 p.m.: Musical evening featuring the Krystal Noir orchestra.
