TOULOUSE
With *Frames*, Alexander Vantournhout explores our relationship with artworks through three choreographed installations designed as playgrounds for rethinking the way we look at things. The Belgian artist, a true choreographer of space, steps beyond the confines of the stage and multiplies the frames within which the performance takes place, thereby guiding the audience through a three-part journey. Drawing on gravity and the potential of the human body, the physical performance pushes its own limits. Resistance, balance and cooperation are the key themes of a work which, like a sculpture or a painting, takes shape before our very eyes. A living exhibition to which everyone holds the key, depending on their own perspective.
