TOULOUSE
The festival is organised by the association La Petite, which works for gender equality in the arts and culture, and by its medium Girls Don’t Cry, which promotes the artistic creation of people with gender minorities. The violence and discrimination prevention team (Main Forte) that we formed will be on hand!
The Girls Don’t Cry Festival is not a break, but a gap, a temporary zone of re-enchantment, a queer glitch in the matrix. It’s a place where we come together every year, like rekindling a fire or entering into a ceremony. We celebrate what overflows, what goes off the rails, what thrills. We dance, we cry, we build a more breathable world.
For three days, bodies invent new uses, new rhythms, new connections. Sound becomes a weapon, a manifesto, a cry of joy. And elsewhere, there are flashes, whispers and surprises. Gestures appear, materials come alive, voices are raised. You’ll have to strain your ears, open your eyes and follow the clues.
