Starmania, the famous musical created in 1979 by Michel Berger and Luc Plamandon, explores the excesses of a world dominated by the star system.
In this futuristic world, power comes from the spotlight. It is a universe where everyone wants to shine, even if it means losing themselves.
Stars, politicians, rebels, all seek to exist in the eyes of others.
Even the Étoiles Noires, a group of outsiders who rise up against the established order, are not spared from the obsession with fame.
Their leader, Sadia, embodies this contradiction. While advocating rebellion and rejection of the system, she also seeks to be seen and recognised.
