Over 150 original works and objects are on display, revealing a unique dialogue between Salvador Dalí and two literary masterpieces: Dante’s Divine Comedy and La Fontaine’s Fables. Engravings, lithographs, sculptures, ceramics, porcelain, vintage magazines and period advertisements reveal an unexpected side to Dalí: a passionate reader, a visionary interpreter and a provocateur of the great classics.
In the salons of the Hôtel Albert 1er, 100 metres from the Capitole, immerse yourself in a new, scenographically designed exhibition where each space engages you and unveils another facet of Dalí’s universe: from Hell to Paradise, from La Fontaine’s fantastical bestiary to Dalí’s iconic symbols, not forgetting the magazine covers that helped shape his legend. An exceptional collection of sixteen advertisements created for the Bryans brand will also be presented here in its entirety for the first time.
Passionate collector and curator of the exhibition, Mickael Mamou will be present every day to welcome visitors, talk about Dalí and share the stories, symbols and secrets hidden behind the works in his collection.
