TOULOUSE
Like a 17-track pop album, this performance – comprising 17 fragments, each written in a radically different style – traces the life of this character. From birth to adulthood, it explores the various layers of violence – social, familial and historical – that punctuate the life of a queer child and ultimately shape them.
Through fiction, but also through incongruity, comedy, spectacle, the monstrous and the art of drag, Marcos Caramés-Blanco and Sacha Starck craft a fragmentary, queer work in search of a utopian impulse, breaking free from the simplistic representations imposed on those who do not conform to social norms.
