BEZIERS
This year, the media library is honoring a key figure in local heritage with the “Gustave Fayet entrepreneur” exhibition. Painter, patron of the arts, collector and curator of the Béziers museum between 1891 and 1904, Gustave Fayet was a versatile businessman involved in the wine industry and the decorative arts. This exhibition explores a little-known facet of his career.
Guided tours are offered, as well as a mediation point provided by the Archives Municipales. You can also discover the media library?s heritage reserves during exceptional guided tours devoted to the treasures they house: old books, engravings, press and scores.
On the program
Saturday, September 20th
– 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: self-guided tour of the exhibition, with a member of the Archives Municipales staff on hand to help.
– 3pm: guided tour of the “Gustave Fayet entrepreneur” exhibition
– 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm: guided tours of the media library’s heritage reserves.
Sunday, September 21st
– from 2pm to 6pm: free tour of the exhibition, with mediation by an agent from the Archives Municipales.
– 3pm: guided tour of the “Gustave Fayet entrepreneur” exhibition
