GARDOUCH
Built on the banks of the Gardijol, a small stream that flows through the Lauragais before joining the Hers-Mort, the Moulin de l’Aygo serves as a reminder of the vital role that water once played in daily life and the rural economy. For centuries, the waters of the Gardijol powered several water mills in the region. In Gardouch, they drove the mechanism of the ‘moli de l’aygo’, a water mill described in local archives as being particularly ancient.
