TOULOUSE
With Mahler’s Symphony No. 9, they embark together on the symphonic legacy of a composer who liked to say that a symphony should be ‘like the entire universe’, and who pushed the boundaries of this form to the very limit. The listener is taken on a long journey, full of contrasts, culminating in a sublime farewell. The Orchestre du Capitole will perform this work, which bears the mark of the Viennese Secession, at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, an iconic Art Nouveau monument.
