AGDE
Around the sea urchin declined in different recipes, products and local wines will also be tasted throughout this weekend.
What do you eat when you eat a sea urchin?
Also called echinidae or even nicknamed the beast that stings, it is a marine animal belonging to the family of echinoderms, which also includes starfish.
Its name means in Greek, “hedgehog skin”, hence its nickname of “hedgehog” or “chestnut” of the seas.
It is an invertebrate, which means that it has no skeleton and more exactly no spine.
It has neither eyes nor brain … but it has five teeth.
Its numerous spines are used in part to split and move.
The life of the sea urchins is spent in salt water, under rocky areas or in vast sandy areas.
For this edition, it will be in the honor of this convivial festival.
Visitors will be able to buy tasting plates composed of shellfish, tielles, mussels, cheese, pastries … from exhibitors or restaurateurs who will decline the sea urchin according to their recipes, all accompanied by local wines.
> The various points of sale will be spread out on the Place du Môle, including a large central stand grouping together the associations, notably “La Route des Vignerons et des Pêcheurs”.
