TOULOUSE
Make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes, as this walking tour covers a substantial part of the city. The aim isn’t to go into detail about every monument and every historical period, but to outline the broad strokes of the history of the ‘Pink City’.
You’ll get a taste of Toulouse’s different atmospheres, from the bustling Place du Capitole to the spiritual Basilica of Saint-Sernin, via the lively Garonne. The guide skilfully links the various sites whilst highlighting a striking feature or a recent restoration.
Along the way, you may feel the soul of the streets or even of the brickwork, whether bare or rendered. Amidst trendy shops, studious bookshops and welcoming terraces, we also take care to highlight the curiosities, traditions and shops of yesterday and today.
Good to know:
– Between 15 June and 15 September, during orange and red alerts and when the temperature is 35°C or higher, adjustments are made to the route and the tour is shortened to 1½ hours. In the event of a red alert, tours are cancelled and refunded.
