How do you go about getting clean when you’re a clown and you walk into a bathroom? La Barboteuse isn’t going to wash herself by taking the shortest or easiest route. She needs to build up her confidence and pluck up the courage to dive into the water in her bath.
Set against a timeless backdrop that’s both modern and retro, with a bath in the centre of the stage, La Barboteuse speaks just a few words that even the youngest children can understand and expresses her emotions in a spirit of shared understanding with the audience.
